Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered during the 9:15 am Mass on Sundays during the school year. The program is currently designed for first and second graders, who attend their own liturgy in the church hall where they learn about the message of the Gospel and the readings of the week in easy-to-understand language and activities. Children and their catechists are dismissed from the church at the beginning of Mass and return to their families during the offertory to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Members of the Children’s Liturgy ministry introduce children to the structure and experience of liturgical worship as they grow in the knowledge and love of God. The Scripture readings are presented to the children at an age-appropriate level, along with an interactive lesson.

The church calls to this ministry those who appreciate the truths and mysteries of the Roman Catholic faith. Candidates must have received their Confirmation and meet the universal requirements for ministry in the church, including Safe Environment training.

New members are always welcome!
